Last Monday we had terrible fires just up the street from us. It was chaotic and smokey, so Tuesday we decided to use our second day of our two day hopper pass. Grandma and Grandpa were off work because of the fires so they came with us. They hadnt been to Disneyland in over 10 years, so it was just as fun to take them as it was the kids again. This time Ashelyn came and she was an angel. I couldnt ask for a better baby. Shes asleep in this pic in the back of the double. Grandma and Grandpa were such troopers as we dragged them back and forth between Disneyland and Cali Adventure. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for an awesome day!
Dumbo the second time around was just as exciting as the first. Maddie and Brookee are such brave girls. Maddie went on Splash Mountain this trip. She was little freaked out after the drop. She said, "no more water slides mom". I felt bad, but she enjoyed the rest of the ride. I remember when Splash mountain first opened I was like 10 yrs old. My aunt and uncle took me on it. We waited 2 hours and I cried most of the line. It kept breaking down and I was scared, but I trusted my aunt so I went on and ended up loving it. It really was full circle to be taking Maddie on it. This time we only waited 25 minutes.
We headed over to California Adventure this time. This pic was taken at the playhouse disney show, which I dont recommend. We did like the bugs life 3d show, and Jake and grandpa loved Tower of Terror. I give Cali Adventure mixed reviews.
Heres Ashelyn watching the parade.....she was so cute. For 20 minutes she sat in total awe. She loved Disneyland. She was such a good girl!
Heres grandma at the end of the night. I had to post this pic because you have to know her to understand this story and to find it funny. See the jacket shes wearing? She brought that jacket in case it got cold, but that never happen. So what do most people do with an unused jacket?? Maybe put it in a backpack of at the bottom of a stroller. Well not Ardie. She held on to this thing all day, not wearing it, but holding it. If she was pushing a stroller she would set it right in front of her and not take her eyes off it. At one point Jake took it a ran around to tease her. Too funny. The only time she put it on was for this pic. Right before we went on the tram to go home she thought it would be easier just to wear it. Its no wonder my husband is the way he is!
