Thanksgiving & Black Friday
It started with a trip to Grandma and Grandpa Larsens for the day. We ate yummy turkey with the Babbitts and Gpa and Gma. We played volleyball with the Cichons and enjoyed our 80 degree Thanksgiving. It was a blast!
This is where my day got a little CRAZY…When we got home I called Heather to plan our early morning shopping and she said she was heading to Toys R Us at midnight and asked if I wanted to go. I was feeling a little ambiguous and decided to go and brave the crowds. Little did I know what I was in for…
- Leave at 10:30pm
- Get in line at 11:10 (cut in line with a friend that had been waiting for an hour already)
- Get in Toys R Us at 12:20am
- Leave Toys R Us at 1:15am
- Attempted to go home but ended up in line at Old Navy at 1:45am. Trying to get Rock Band as a door buster. They ended up giving them to the first 40 people and I was number 42!! NOOO!
- Shopped at Old Navy at 3am. What in world was I doing shopping there at 3am! I did get tons of great deals and met some nice people.
- Decided to go stand in line at Walmart. I was pulling an all nighter! What? I dont know…it wasnt planned. I was on a Black Friday high.
- Stood in line in the FREEZING COLD from 3:30-5:30. (Thanks goodness I found a jacket in Jakes car. I wasnt prepared at all..I am a black Friday virgin!)
- Shopped at Walmart until 7:15am! I spent $100.09, and got all four girls and my nephew done. There was some AMAZING deals.
- Arrived home at 7:30am.
- Slept til 12:30pm.
- Went shopping again until 5pm.
- Came home and fed the missionaries
- Prepared food for the next day (Thanksgiving with my family in Palmdale).
Crazy I know, and if you would have asked me Friday if I would do it again I would have said NO WAY, but I have to say Im hooked and am looking forward to camping out next year to get those door busters.

That's crazy. I have gotten up early on Friday mornings a couple of times, but never done the all nighter thing, I think I would like it if I had a friend that would do it with me. Once again another reason you should move to UT. lol
We did the Toysrus thing and were shocked at how many people were there. We went home and slept for 2 hours then went out again. :) I don't know why, but I love being a part of the hype and excitement...we've gone almost every year since we've been married!
You are nuts. I am shopping addict and have yet to do the whole black friday craziness. Maybe next year I will have to camp out with you so I know what I am missing!!
I used to love Black Friday shopping, but now the crowds make me crazy. Good that you do this kind of stuff when you're young!

our current address is 682 east 1400 north # 3 logan ut 84341, and we're moving out december 19th. not sure what our new address will be yet. :)
