Christmas Card 2009

Just thought I would put this on for all those I wasn't able to get a current address for and for a keepsake. I always love reading our letter from the year before and seeing all the changes. Sorry if you didn't get one. Leave your address and I will get it to you next year!

Dear Family and Friends,

    2009 was another exciting year for the Larsen Family. In January, Jakes job at US Bank sent us to beautiful Rancho Santa Margarita in South Orange County, CA. We lived in an apartment for seven months before moving into the perfect home just up the street. We just love it here and finally found the place where we want to settle down and raise our girls. 2009 also brought us our precious Irelyn Marie .On April 23rd we welcomed her into the world. This was a special time for all of us as we got to witness her special birth together at home. Irelyn has been such a sweet baby and we all adore her. 

    Jake and I are doing well. I’m enjoying NOT being pregnant and taking advantage of my wonderful ward and all the activities we are spoiled with. The girls and I had a fun summer this year at our neighborhood pools, parks and beach club.  Jake is  grateful for his new job (we all are) and is excelling in his new position as a Business Banking Officer. He enjoys playing basketball and being with the young men in his new calling as Young Men’s Secretary.

    Madelyn, Brookelyn, Ashelyn and Irelyn are growing up so fast. Madelyn at 5 years old is a little nature girl. She loves to be in our backyard catching reptiles and picking oranges. Its not unusual to see her swinging on our swing set with a lizard on her shoulder. Maddie also loves to be silly and entertain us. Brookelyn at 3 ½ years old loves to write and draw. She can be caught writing notes and putting them on our neighbors porches. Our next door neighbors recently received a “Brookelyn note” that had one word on it, “Obama”. Jake still is wondering where she got that from! We always know where Brookelyn is because she is ALWAYS singing. Both girls also learned how to swim this year, which has been exciting. These two sisters are completely inseparable.

    Ashelyn is our sweet almost 2 year old baby. When she’s not asking for Grandma Larsen or Cousin Geena she loves to cuddle up and read books. She is a great talker and is learning the ropes on how to get what she wants when she wants it! Irelyn at 7months has a mouthful of teeth and is sitting up and playing with her sisters now. She is a peaceful baby and brings much love into our home. Double the babies, double the work and fun!

     The Lord has truly blessed our family this year! We hope your holiday season brings much peace and happiness. Merry Christmas!
