Easter

Easter this year started with a Spring Fling at one of our parks close by. It wasnt as fun this year because it was REALLY crowded and we lost Maddie for a few minutes. We were ready to go not too soon after we arrived.

At least the babies had fun collecting eggs.

Ashelyn had fun on the pony rides and the long wait at the balloon man made her one happy girl!

I was really surprised she rode a real animal considering she is petrified of all animals. She started out ok then the pony started moving and she freaked out, so I walked by her and held her hand and she was fine. She eventually let go of my hand and was brave. I was so proud of her!  Theres no pictures of the big girls because they were being naughty. When we got home I stripped their room of ALL of their toys. They didnt get to paint eggs either. Mean mom huh? Believe me they deserved it!

Heres Ashelyn painting with mom without her sisters.

Luckily the next day Maddie and Brookelyn woke up realizing we were serious and that they needed to change their behavior. They worked very hard Easter to earn back one toy each. They did a great job! Easter at Grandma and Grandpa Larsens was a success!

IMG_0374Brookee even found a Dollar! She ended up giving it to Christian. What a nice cousin.

IMG_0389Brookelyn and Ammon played nice together. Brookelyn told him, “ Ammon we were both three and now we are both 4!”

IMG_0391Even though Landan is HUGE compared to Ashelyn she kept trying to play with him. He would refer to her as baby, even though they are only 1 year apart.

We had a fun Easter and we love creating traditions for our girls, but most importantly I love teaching them the real reason we celebrate Easter. I feel truly blessed to really know and believe that the Son of God, even Jesus Christ, overcame death so that we can all live together again.

Cute Easter pictures of CUTE girls!
Our boys didn't decorate eggs either... but not because they were naughty, we just forgot to do them! We're awful parents!

I love the picture of Ashelyn on the pony...she looks like she's trying really hard not to look scared, haha. And, you look great in that picture with Jake in LA right below. Oh, and good parenting not letting them paint eggs, I'm sure they deserved it if you say so. Way to stay strong. :)
