Here comes Santa Claus!

Yesterday our ward had breakfast with Santa, which I thought was very cute and kid friendly....that is until Santa came. Initially my girls were thrilled to be able to see Santa, that was until he made his entrance. Maddie took off down the halls and Ashelyn started getting squirmy. Brookelyn was the only one that raced to get into line to tell him she wanted Sleeping Beauty Barbie for Christmas. Heres Ashelyn with the classic scared Santa baby picture. She ended up doing a little better for more pics later.
Heres my attempt to get all three girls in their matching sweats to take a pic with the big guy!

Like I said Brookelyn was the only one that seemed to enjoy the experience. She was very comfortable on his lap and probably could have taken a nap(: Brookelyn and Maddie have been very excited this year about Christmas and they seem to understand the true meaning of Christmas and the Santa part too. Today at church our ward combined with the Korean ward for a Christmas program, and of course the primary kids went up to sing. Well as we know Brookelyn is not in Primary...still nursery, but that didnt stop her from wanting to sing on stage. She went right on up with Maddie and stood in the front row as the only 2-year-old on stage and attempted to sing Away in the Manger and Little Town of Bethlehem. She is such a talented little girl that LOVES to preform. She even exited the stage holding her dress up with both hands like a princess. I know having a big sister helps her make these bold moves but I honestly think even if she was without Maddie today she would have done the same thing!

Breakfast with Santa is such a cute idea! I love the classic picture of crying Ashelyn on Santa's lap! The story about Brookelyn singing with the primary kids is so funny! I can totally see her doing that!

What are you doing for New Year's?

How fun! It's so funny how many kids are really afraid of Santa when they get to see him in person!

Will you either email me your address or leave it as a comment on my blog so I can send you a card? We'll be there the weekend after Christmas, so maybe we can stop by or meet up!

Merry Christmas Laren's...
What a way to start the season!
The girls look adorable...even though they are petrified!

I hope Santa can find that Barbie doll!
