Fun Saturday

Last Sat we went to Irvine Regional Parks anniversary extravaganza. Everything was two dollars in celebration of the price of things when the train at the park opened up in 1997. It was a fun 85 degree day. Heather and Michael came with us which was fun. I love having them close. Heather was nice enough to treat the girls to Pony rides. There were two different Pony rides-walking and trotting. Brookee chose the "slow ponies" with Heather escorting her around. She named her Pony Princess Pony. Maddie decided to go on the fast ponies. She is so brave and loves horses. She loved the ride but thought it was bit too bumpy. Maybe if our tiny Maddie weighed more than 30 pounds she wouldn't have has such a bumpy ride!

Brookee loved getting her face painted like a butterfly. She really thought she could fly like a butterfly when she saw that she looked like one.

Maddie is my picky child and had to wait for the girl face painter to do her face. She was also more particular about what she got, but after it was all said and done she was very happy with the results. Trying to get her to take it off is a whole other post.

Heres on the train ride at last. The line was long but fun. We saw a peacock, ducks, and Michaels favorite, turtles. It was so hot we all indulged in Icees. It's Feb still right?

We all had a good time. Too bad when we got home Ashelyn and Brookelyn were very sick with fevers, sore throats and coughs. The rest of the weekend was spent tending to sick kids, but at least we had a great day before the madness began.

I have never posted a video before and you will find out why after viewing it. I am not the best at videoing I tend to forget I have the camera in my hands while enjoying the moment. Sorry if I make you sick.

I love going to things like that! How fun! It's good you got to enjoy that before all the sickness came.
The boys kept wanting to watch the movie over and over again. When I meantioned something about Maddie riding a pony, Cohen sighed and said, "Girls just call them ponies, but boys call them horses."

Thought the video was very intertaining; laughter, typical mom's instructions to "hold on," the train whistle (?) and your blog background music. Looks like a great time. Your girls are cute.

haha, what a great video! I remember riding horses as a kid - it was sooo fun :) It looks like such a beautiful day too, ahhh, I miss California sometimes...
Thanks for the comment about my "deep thoughts" - It's good to know someone finds them interesting! :)
Btw, Matt has a blog too - have you seen it? If you look on my page it's called Shoot the Sun Down.
Have a great weekend!
Autumn :)
