Mothers Days are always special thanks to Jake and my girls. I woke up this morning to breakfast in bed that the girls and Jake made. Pancakes with blackberries on top-Yum! Then I opened my presents in bed too. The older girls made me these beautiful bookmarks with their pictures on it and Ashelyn and Irelyn got me Dr. Lauras new book, In Praise of Stay-At-Home-Moms, which I will be posting about soon. Then Jake took the 3 older girls to church by himself (yes I married SUPER DAD) and I got stay home with my sweet newborn and read my new book. Later after church I thought it would be fun to check out our new temple. The Newport Beach temple is our closest temple now and we havent had a chance to go yet so we loaded up the van and were on our way. The newly built temple (2005) was just breath taking. The grounds were so pretty and we just loved being there. So peaceful and serene.
Its a smaller Temple but still grand in its purpose!
There girls found all sorts of things to do...like eat and smell flowers, roll down grass hills ,chase bunnies and touch the fountain water.
Of course I had to take cute pics of the girls and Jake.
I love this picture of Brookelyn and her reflection in the water.
This was our first official outing as a family. Heres Irelyn ready to go. She did fine in the car until we stopped and then she would let out a cry, and be fine again until red light came up. Ashelyn didnt like "BABY" crying. She would let out a small cry everytime Irelyn did.
Heres Brookee posing before church.
Sweet Girls!
Heres Irelyn after a bath. Look at that hair! It stands straight up when clean. Kim came yesturday to visit and we gave her her first bath. My girls just love Kimmy!
Heres Rosie being Rosie. She is such a fun 16-month-old!
I love Mothers Day with all of these cute girls. I am so grateful to be a mother and so grateful to all those women in my life that have been great mothers to me. You know who you are!
