MLK in San Jose
Every year Aunt Cindy hosts a a late Christmas celebration on Martin Luther King weekend. Its a weekend of games, presents, good food and fun times with the fam. We left on Friday and was pleasantly surprise to arrive in only six hours! The girls did great! Jake had us up and in the car by 5:50am!
Day One
The girls made cute aprons for me, Judy and Dori. They turned out really cute!

All the girls, but Ashelyn liked getting their hands painted for handprints. You can see Ashelyn in this picture avoiding the action and Cindy trying to convince her it will be ok.
Day 2
Everyone else arrives and we open presents and eat, eat and eat! The kids got to play with Brett's (Larissa's boyfriend) niece and nephew. They had fun playing a white elephant game with them.
We also celebrated birthdays. Ashelyns 2, Jakes 30, Larissa 21, and Cindy 58.
I made this for Cindy at Fantastic Friday. It goes well with her red curtains in her kitchen!
We also had a fun white elephant for the adults. We made out with a Cheesecake factory gift card and a gas gift card!
Random, but cute pictures. Zac (upper right pic) was so nice to get all of us presents. With Geenas help we got great things. Thanks Zac! Sorry we took Geena away for a week, but we cant get enough of her!!
Day 3
Unfortunately Irelyn did not sleep much at night, which meant I didn't sleep at all, so when everyone went to Build a Bear I stayed home and slept. A nap was much needed because Sunday night I elected to stay up until 3:30am to have girl time with my aunts. We had a great talk. I love them so much!
Matching babies are so cute!
My top 5 reasons I love family get-togethers:
1) Lots of fun playing board games
2) Good Conversation
3) Everyone watches my kids and I get a break
4) Great food
5) Get to see family I don't see very often
Thanks Q-berrys for hosting another awesome family weekend!

I didn't know MLK holiday could be this much fun.
I always look sooooo forward to this weekend with my family. I love hosting them all. It is a lot of work, but soooo worth it! I appreciate that you made the long trip with the girls and 1/2 of your house! I remember those days with my 2 girls. I am sorry for the lack of sleep but I am sure next year will be much better! I loved the girltalk too! TOO MUCH FUN! Love you guys so much.
It was an awesome time! I, too, loved the girl talk! How fun. And sharing a blanket with my sister! Ahhh.... It was great to spend time with the families and reconnect. Can't wait till next year!
Cute pictures! I love the one of the babies. They look so cute matching!
Why do babies refuse to sleep on vacation when you can't let them cry without waking everyone up?
